My dad was diagnosed back in 2019

With CLL he did about 3 sessions of chemotherapy and went back to remission

Lately in January he noticed some lymph nodes in his neck as well as in his face

After examination he discovered that Tp53 was positive with deletion (17p13)

Anyone in similar case or someone with information will bee so helpful to meet thank uu

Hello

Sorry to hear about your dad’s diagnosis, it must be very worrying for you. My husband was diagnosed with CLL TP53 mutation last year. He was found to have enlarged lymph glands in his neck and a very enlarged spleen at his very first appointment. He began targeted cancer treatment straight away and luckily he has responded to this. We have remained positive throughout as this is key. He cut out alcohol with only occasional drink, now eating a healthy whole food diet, lots of pomegranate juice and daily long brisk walks. This has helped him mentally and physically. He was seeing his consultant monthly but now every two months. He remains on same targeted treatment.

Hi, I am so glad that you have found us and your fear really comes over in your post, your dad is lucky to have you caring.

I have CLL and I was diagnosed 20 yrs ago other subtypes were tested for.

I would be guided by what your dads medical team are saying because what I have realised is that we are all special, complicated people with unique medical histories and today treatment plans are very much targeted at the individual taking many factors into account.

Perhaps you and your dad write all your fears, questions and practicalities down to ask at his next appointment and really take care and be kind to yourselves
