Hi all. I am 100+ days post transplant for AML. Doing well, driving, walking, working. Have been told though that a blood test has flagged up positive for the virus that causes glandular fever and they want me to have rituximab IV treatment in outpatients at Bham. Has anybody else had similar treatment or presence of this virus?

Hi there,

So good to see that you are 100+ days post transplant.

Sorry I can’t comment in the prob you are having rituximab treatment. Honestly don’t know anything about this, but would suggest that you contact your medical team for advice - they should be able to answer your questions.

Great to see you getting better.

Take care - it’s a long journey.

Ross

Thanks Ross. Treatment carried out with just minimal tiredness the next day. Was able to manage daily routine fine.
