CLL is treated very differently today than it was ten years ago when most therapies were chemo based and there was little doctor or patient choice when it was time for treatment.

Today targeted therapies given either as single agents or in combination together provide a more personalised approach to treatment and have improved the survival and quality of life of all patients.

The aim of this webinar is to explore these different solutions in a light hearted debate to answer your questions such as:

· How do these different strategies work?

· What is the treatment objective of fixed duration therapies?

· What is the treatment objective of a continuous therapy?

· What are the pros and cons of each, survival, quality of life and impact on lifestyle?

· What should patients and doctors consider when deciding one strategy over the other?

· Is there an order that they should be used?

· Is one strategy better than the other?

Panel:

Leading CLL specialist haematologists, co- authors of BSH Guidelines:

Dr Renata Walewska, Consultant Haematologist at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Universities Dorset Hospitals NHS Trust and Chair of the UK Chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) Forum.

Dr Piers Patten – Consultant Haematologist and Senior Lecturer, Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
