Since early March I've been determined to lose weight for health (and vanity - have to be honest). Happy with weight loss of over a stone since then (joined LCHF in June). I've lost 4 inches from my waist (was an 'apple') but I can already see fairly loose skin and I still have 3 stone to go and don't want my stomach round my knees - help! Do I need to try and slow weight loss down further, get a personal trainer, buy specific creams or start saving for cosmetic surgery? I'm 71 which may mean I have to put up with it and buy shape wear. Anyone got any advice?

Anyone lost a lot of weight managed not to have loose skin?
We are discussing the same thing over on NHS Weight Loss!

i have heard that slower weight loss helps, but that makes little sense to me. Either you skin is going to shrink, or it's not. Slowing the weight loss will make it look less baggy in the intermediate stages, but not effect the final result.
S11m has successfully lost weight without sagging skin and definitely has advice, but I think it's important to remember we all have different genetics.
Don't panic about sagging skin, at your age it's not going to be as elastic as it was when you were younger, so you may see more of it at first, but that doesn't mean you are doomed. When it does shrink, it will take longer than it would have decades ago.

Have a look here. Intermittent fasting and autophagy may help. Jason Fung is a big proponent.
