Doctor wants to take the spleen out if my counts gets to 120,000 I've been on nplate for 3months and my count hasn't been higher than 39

Has taking the spleen out helped anyone. I've had itp since August 2013.

Ivig i received 3infusins over last 6 week after the first two had mild symptoms of flue like feelings after 2half weeks needed another dose

just started Imuran did that work for anyone with ITP? I am on prednisone but the side effects are so awful so dr is trying to ween me off.

I've had 6 treatments of rituxan but it had no affect. I have also gone through several treatments of ivig which works but is short lived.
