Is it sufficient the vitamin D pills I take?

Recently, I have stiff joints, am tired, and I went to the GP to discuss if I might have rheumatism. We tested the vitamin D level and it appeared to be 23 nmol/l. But of course now we think it might be the deficiency. My G.P. prescribed 25.000 IE vitamin D pills weekly but I wonder if this is sufficient?

I also take 2,000 daily and my platelet count almost doubled. It’s always best to check with your consultants before taking it
