With low platelets any injury will cause bruising. Last week my platelets=10K, I received my Nplate injection with a small 23 gage needle which developed into a 4X4 cm bruise, it does not take much for me to bruise! You must have bumped your ankle so lightly you didn't feel it. Be well:)

Hi you may have knocked it slightly without realising and then you look later and there it is. I'm covered at the moment but am under the weather so that may be why. Good luck with it though x

I also have unusual bruising in unusual places with too many to be inflicted by myself. My thighs and back of arms are covered and look like I’ be been caught in a thresher. My oncologist doesn’t believe that it’s spontaneous but it is. Anyone else besides Topography52 and me with this?

He also said that anything over 25 is ‘mild’ —so hang in there.

Hi I get bruises when I bump even slightly. But I keep getting large ones on my stomach where I know I haven’t and couldn’t have bumped. Curious.

I find that the knees and below are actually prime spots for unexplained bruises. Because they bump into everything and I never remember. At my lowest count of 8, I even had several bruises on the bottom of my feet
