Has anyone found their joints very sore on IVIG?

I had sore hips when walking after IVIG and also from Rituxan. My hema acts like she's never heard of it.

I had a very serious reaction to IVIg - retinal bleed and meningitis. NickyD

That's scary, what do u have for treatment now?

Mycophenolate - twice a day. Works a treat

It's my feet , knees and hips don't know if it's related it's been 4 weeks since IVIG.

I felt the same way. I just noticed it most in my hips. It took a while for it to lessen. Then I had Rituxan treatments, & it is worse now.

I was fine on IVIG but the effects were only to raise my platelet count to approx 60 falling after 10 days to 20 or 15 So having to attend hospital every 10 days for a 5 day course was not great. Put on Aezothioprine absolutely dreadful side effects I felt and looked ill now on Romiplostin injection once a week side effect was similar to Polymyalgia when every bone in my body even my toe joints ached. Now on Romiplostin and steroids that has improved the situation and my last count was 76 hurrah! but I am being weaned off the steroids so will just have to wait and see if the joint and muscle pains return or stay away!
