I have been getting infusions of ivig for 16+ years. May have contracted Aseptic meningitis after last treatment. Anyone know of or experienced similar

Hi Lyndee

I have had asceptic meningitis with ivig. It was on my third course of treatment and I also had a retinal bleed. I had not had a bad reaction to it previously. Then about a year later, after many failed attempts with other drugs at levelling off my count, the hospital was going to put me back on ivig until it was pointed out to them that I had had a serious reaction to it previously. Luckily I was not given it again. NickyD

I respond well to IVIG and had 11 infusion just a year and half ago with our first child. I showed your post to my husband for we had been discussing having a second child and IVIG would be our go to ITP. now a little more weary.
