My husband and I had a great sex life. And I know it’s only four weeks post op but I worry a lot about everything down there. I worry he won’t like it, I worry It will hurt or not feel the same as it did. I had full hysterectomy took tubes and cervix but left ovaries. And I know part of my feelings is I feel less of a woman now. My husband has a high sex drive and I worry that I may not be able to preform like I used to

Hi MrsNGoo. It’s a very emotional time, recovering from surgery, but there are things that can help to ease things. I would definitely recommend YES lubricants which makes sex much more comfortable and pleasurable. Don’t rush things, though. You still have a lot of healing to do, so please don’t try penetrative sex until you’re fully healed. Xx
I had same feelings, 1st time at 6 weeks post op (everything removed), I was very anxious and as suggested used lubricant, I’m now 5 months post op and everything is great! Explain your feelings to your husband, I’m sure he’ll understand and be gentle. Take it easy as it’s been said it’s a long healing process so try not to rush things.
Hope this helps!
