Hubby kissed head on subdural heamatoma spot and it hurt like hell...normal?

I’m 14 months post SH still get sharp pains in the head but wen he just kissed me, omg it was so sharp and hurt so much, I bent over in agony, is the right? Anyone? Thank u xx

That sounds quite extreme 14months on m'love, Maybe see your GP and, if he/she's unsure, ask to be referred back to the neuro team where you can be checked over for possible infection or other complication, and either treated or reassured.

Possibly nerve damage related? You need to seek medical advice if you have unexpected pain. Some people have nerve damage following injury and it can be sensitive to cold / touch etc

Hi Hun, yes my head is very sensitive to the cold. I wasn’t given any info wn leaving hospital so I’m finding things as I go along really, headway and this forum have been great. I’ll add t to the list for the GP thanks love xx

My head was rather sensitive to cold weather mainly wind for a year or so after my accident (fractured skull two subdural what nots) it still aches now and then it was sometimes quite intense though not sharp, just uncomfortable.

Hi Roger, yes cold and wind on my head s quite painful, I always wear hat and scarf, wrap the scarf around my head sometimes too 🙄 I’m going to ring the doctors tomorrow didn’t feel like it today . Won’t hurt to go check it out x

Worth checking has to be said I did ask at the time but the GP I suspect didn’t know much about brain injury, so suggested paracetamol + Ibuprofen neither of which ever did any thing!
