Just when i thought everything was getting back on track after my speech returned on friday, i started to have ear pain in my left ear and that triggered off my speech problems on both my left and right side. This has never happened before as i usually have a migraine then speech problems. Seems like another problem i have to deal with as well as facial pain😔😔😔
I really dont understand what is happ... - Functional Neurol...
I really dont understand what is happening😔😔😔
Sending you hugs I don't have any advice though 🤗
Oh dear!!!
I know this is probably something everyone knows but do you do the FAST test on yourself for possible stroke?
If you can't smile in the mirror equally and raise your arms and keep them there also equally and you are having speech problems call for help.
The other thing I'm thinking is Bell's palsy which I know had been mentioned before but I think that is always on one side.
I'd see your doc. Just if it's to rule out anything worrying.
I always think too if you've seen your doc and they send you home and say it's just part of your condition and your fine, itsvrecorded and it's kinda insurance for you if anything was to worsen as your doc said you were fine.
I don't mean that to sound bad, just that they are taking responsibility rather than your speech therapist who may be great and also they get a lot of patients who have speech problems for various reasons but they are not docs.
Thank you for your advice. It wss bells palsy that started this condition in may last year and the thought of it reoccurring has come up. I will be seeing my Gp again today to see if she has any idea what is going on. Things dont feel as bad this morning although I have facial pain but i will see.
Let us know how you get on 🤗🤗🤗
