I'm just wondering if fibromyalgia has an effect on it. My sugar levels are totally out of control.

Hello Jane, sorry but I am type 2 and I don't think that Fibro is affected by being Diabetic mine were out of control recently on because I was eating the wrong food! I think you should make an appointment with your Diabetic nurse as she will be able to advise you, I am sorry I cannot be more helpful. Maybe someone else can come up with an answer for you. Hugs...Aisha x
Thanks Aisha, The gp just puts everything down to the diabetes and if not that then it is the depression! Apparently the pains are caused by the depression!! ,I did reply that maybe the depression is because I am in that much pain!! He will only give me nefopan which don't help that much.
Gentle hugs

me im type 1, i inject insulin daily . I find my sugar goes up and down a bit and i find it can be worse when im having a series of fibro flare ups. I think it helps for me that i get treated by one gp for my diabetes and one gp does my fibro i do see a consultant for both too. I find that its so much better when you can see one gp and say my diabetes blah blah and then go to the other to say my fibro blah blah . The two conditions go hand in hand but most fibro's with diabetes have type 2 which is NOT insulin dependant like ours both of course can be dangerous but as you know type one can be a killer so go see a specialist hun xx:fibromyalgiapedia.com/fibro...
Hi I'm type two and I inject myself twice a day with byetta, I am told it's form of insulin that regulates my blood sugars. My blood levels Are fine but my fibro is not good at the minute.
Hi I'm also type one my blood sugars are usually all over the show but I put this down to aches and pains hindering me from taking insulin when I should combined with fibrofog makes me forget to take insulin and whether I had taken some. Fibro is a pain as my blood sugars were fine before I developed fibro
I'm type 1 and find my bloods are all over the place too. The worse the fibro the worse the bloods. Never seem to get it right with my insulin.
