He certainly did. I was a bit amazed at all the background talking that was going on. A bit rude I thought!... but then most of the MP's behave like unruly school kids!

I thought he was excellent and I really hope that he fights on for all of us and that he has the support of many MP's so that this Govt and ATOS get the message that we are all really vulnerable and the stress of these ill conceived assessments just serve to make our lives more miserable. Indeed in some sad cases the outcomes have been fatal for some poor souls. I am at the ESA50 questionnaire stage and that is certainly impacting on my physical and mental health without the prospect of a face to face assessment and the possible prospect of an appeal and a tribunal. If I have to go all through this over the next few months I shall be back to my GP asking for a higher dose of anti depressant because I can't afford to risk having another relapse of depression, as it takes so long to make any sort of recovery. The constant physical pain and tiredness is bad enough but I can live with that and the associated anxiety and depression, but I cannot bear the prospect of another breakdown. It feels as though we are being treated like criminals and I despair when I read all the sad stories which people share where they have been treated so badly during the assessment procedures.

Still we are very lucky to have this wonderful site where we can share how we feel without the fear of being misunderstood or judged. It helps to ease the burden of pain and worry which we are all going through in one way or another.

Take care, Sandra.

Night night.

Ditto - I dont know what I'd do without this site. Quite sure I would have fallen out with members of family/friends who already have to put up with a lot from me. On here, i get to release pent up frustration secure in the knowledge people understand, without judgement, it helps so much! xx

That was most interesting , thank you for posting it,, am not on disability but just claimed for sick. I don't know how things are going to go but I can imagine how it's going to be if I stay on sick for any length of time . It's disheartening for many people I know been on dla and having their disability cut.

This was a wonderful speech by someone who is not afraid to speak out for us. I thought Michael Meacher spoke from the heart and as he stated, this debate will NOT go away!!
