It was suggested to me that I contact the GP and ask her to refer me to support services as I am struggling and not coping very well, hence the question above. Thank you.

What type of support services can a GP refer a patient to??
I'm not sure if you mean emotionally or physically, Reflections, but the GP should be able to refer on to counselling/psychology for emotional issues, and - I believe - social services, occupational therapy etc. to assist with mobility and physical assistance. It's largely dependent on what is available in your area, though, so best to book in and ask the question.
Good luck xx
They should be able to refer you to anything conne ted with your issue, especially if they have reason to believe there's something that needs resolving or if health benifits are gained. ,, hope that helps
Hello there Reflections, your GP can refer you for Specialist consultations to say a Rheumatologist, Neurologist etc., or to Clinics for treatments and therapies, but they can also refer you for homeopathic treatments, counselling, CBT and other services and treatments too.
If your GP decides that homeopathic treatment is not appropriate, he or she should discuss this with you.
Hope this helps.

Hello, thanks for your responses. I'm not even sure what help I need, I know what I don't need but not what I do if that makes any sense. Whatever is on offer in my borough is very thin on the ground. x
