Does anyone work from home part-time?
I work part-time at home, and part-time outside the home. Same job, different method. I teach English as a Foriegn language, and teach students all over the world via the internet. I am a qualified and experienced EFL teacher. There are a number of websites that facilitate students and teachers getting together, sorting out money, and scheduling in different time zones. However, I find the best way of getting new students is word of mouth from existing ones.
If you are looking for an opportunity to do some work, then there are a lot of websites such as People Per Hour, Guru, Elance, that facilitate freelance work of different kinds. It's a competitive market place, but you can register for free, have a look around and see what kind of work is on offer. Then you have to bid for it, and you can be in competition with 10's if not 100's of others from around the world. So, you won't get instant riches, but some people earn a very decent living via these kinds of portals. You need to think about what you can offer, and I think once you have your first few pieces of work (with positive feedback of course) then you can build your reputation, and it's easier to get more.
Good luck with your search
Thank you for answering, I will have a look at the websites you mentioned.
