Feeling down - need a hug, please.

I've been awake since 4, can't get back to sleep. My legs feel like they have insects running around under the skin! My whole body feels like a sack full of acidic jelly - heavy, burning, no strength!

I'm exhausted. Physically, mentally and emotionally.

Trying to come to terms with the end of my marriage. Trying to decide where to go, what to do, how to sort out the practicalities of legal and financial disentanglement.

Feeling alone. I have friends and family who care, but no-one who can do it for me, and most still don't understand the added burden of doing all this with fibro.

Trying to keep working because I'm going to need every penny I can get.

Feeling trapped and miserable.

It's all just too much right now, and although I cling to the idea that I WILL be ok, when it's all sorted out, I just don't know how to get from here to there.

So I'm giving in to a moment of feeling down, before I pick myself up, dust myself off, and start all over again.

Thanks for reading this far.

Morning and a gentle hug for you ((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))))))) hope it helps. I know it is often good just to share your thoughts how you are feeling and coping in the moment. That is why this site is so good we are all here for each other.

Sorry about your marriage that is tough, the practicalities are extensive but you sound as if you are preparing to sort them out and you will take courage write a famous list and hen work through it.

It is ghastly when you feel traped and low but you will be ok take it slowly when you have a list prioritise it (have I spelt that right)

Courage and good luck we are with you and as you gather yourself together things will work out fine!

take care xgins

Hugs Kaz I,ve not gone through what you are going through but can empathise with the upheaval and effect it has on you, we sold our house just over a year ago to move to this lovely bungalow trouble was we sold to cash buyers and had to live in bed and breakfast for 7 weeks, no comfy settee or bed no washing machine no shower just a tiny bath, I coped ... Just till we got in here then flared along with the relief, you will get through this we fibromites are stronge than we think we have to be to carry on when we have pain every day

sending you hugs Kaz {{{}}},

you've got a lot going on keep in touch on here, we're here for you.

have you looked into getting an advocate? they can help by liaising with the different agencies for you and offer advice. if you go on your local council site and type in "advocates for vulnerable adults" it should come up.

are you on Dla?

regards,

sandra.

hi Sandra

No, I'm not on any benefits. At the moment I am still managing to work - but getting up each morning is getting harder and harder. And I'm starting to make mistakes - which I hate. As a freelancer I really can't afford to mess my clients around too much. So, I'm quite worried about the future. And as a self-employed person, there is limited support available. But, I'm gradually managing to get an action plan together. It's just all so difficult, and not what I thought I would be facing at this point in my life! And this morning I just felt overwhelmed by it all. But I'm a fighter, and I know I will get through it all. I also know it won't be easy. So thanks for the support.

Kaz

hi Kaz,

you can work and get DLA, it might be worth trying - the admin here can send you info that helps in filling in the forms.

Thanks Sandra.

I'll look into it, when I've got some of the other stuff a bit straighter in my mind.

Kaz, sorry to hear of your struggles right now.

If you email us on info@fibroaction.org we can send you the Benefits and Work info sheets for free on ESA and DLA which hopefully will be able to help you.

Also if you click on this link which will take you to our main site, there is info here on Benefits and Fibro -

fibroaction.org/Pages/Benef...

Please also speak to your GP about what's going on in your life and the strain you are under at the moment as well as coping with your Fibro, they may be able to help you. It's always worth updating them from time to time as our Fibro can change along with our symptoms through stress especially. It's advisable to have a meds' review from time to time too.

Hope this helps, and I also hope things get better for you. Please know that we are here for you, we do care and we will do all we can to help and support you along the way.

Thanks Libs.

It really helps to know I have somewhere 'safe' to let off steam when it starts to get too much.

You have a lot on your plate. Ending a marriage is stressful and your pain maybe worse because of this. I'm sure that you will find a lot more encouraging posts than mine...but take care of yourself and try to rest when you can. I wish you luck with now and for your future xx
