Lynn has a lot of experience and I always find what she has to say helpful.
One of the best things you can do for yourself, you've already done by finding this forum. You can be pretty sure that whatever situations you find yourself in with fibro, somebody else on the forum will have experienced it and can make suggestions.
People with fibroyalgia often have other conditions like hypothyroidism etc so if you haven't already had full blood count including thyroid, liver, kidney function etc then I would ask your GP to do those.
Others may have had different expriences but I have found that looking at my life's stressful situations and considering strategies to lessen the stress has helped. For me it was a huge mortgage until I moved into someplace smaller amongst other things. I also learned that I had to surrender to it for a while and rest - not for ever but until I felt a little less fatigued.
I now have good days/weeks and not so good ones. I do take medication but have, with my GP changed it from time to time.
Please keep coming back to the forum and I hope you'll get the help you need.
Christine

Thank you again
Delighted to hear you'll be back. That's the idea for me. I only joined in April but it helped me so much I volunteered and was accepted - only today so you are one of my first posts. We'll have to celebrate in a year!
Don't think I'm being flippant about your diagnosis or suffering - my sense of humour is part of what keeps me going.
