Does anyone get restless arms? How do you deal with it?
yes i do get very restless arms and restless legs its such a horrible feeling
Hi sanevans01. I'm not the only one then. I've had restless legs for nears now but I mould say the arms started about six months ago. But for the last 4 nights I have had it dreadful. Saturday night I ended up lying on the kitchen floor trying to cool them on the tiles. I was going out of my mind, crying and all. In the end I took 10mg of diazepam, which didn't help the restlessness but did eventually knock of out. How do you deal with it? JT
Hey JT_3,
arms and legs. I haven't found anything that helps when i'm standing, but there is something that helps a little when I'm laying down. I prop a lot(4)of pillows under my knees/calfs. And for my arms a long pillow under my shoulder/bicep. I had to figure something out or my partner was threatening to kick me out of bed.lol I hope this helps a little

Hi Charlie thanks for the tip, I will give anything a try. I managed to get an appt with my gp this morning so am going to see what he says about it. If it is anything helpful, I will put it on here later today. Thanks again, JT x
i know that taking magnesiumand iron supplements do help a little but be careful to ask doctor or pharmasit if they clash with anything else.... petal my spelling brain has died lol
So have been to the doctors. He is sending me for blood tests to see if I am anemic. That could be the cause of the restless legs and arms. He is also checking something else in my blood to see why I have little or no appetite and feel constantly sick. So we will see. JT
I get both, I usually pop the pain killers and scrub the bath until they kick in, I find playing The Clash nice and loud helps!!
It does drive you mad doesn't it? I can't find anyone who understands, I get helpfull comments like go and meditate, something I do when I can, but restless limbs are not meditation friendly.
I do make myself a hot milk or valarian tea, it stinks but doesn't taste bad. I also use a hot water bottle and a blanket on the sofa, maybe distract myself with a funny movie, or go online and loose myself there, until I just nod off. My electric blanket is a big help too.
A hot bath might help, we're just having our dead boiler replaced after years without it, so no baths in that time, I can't wait to have one!!
I'm off to the Lush website to order my bath bombs!!
