does anybody else take Methotrexate. I've taken it in tablet form for a long time and was just wondering if injections are better?
What do you take it for, my husband has it for arthritis
and it works well, he has had the injections but only
when he has a flare up
He takes the doze in one go on a friday it makes him
tired for a few days, but thats all realy, we have recently
found that coffee and methotrexate react together so
he has cut down on the coffee and is much better not
so many aches and pains. no one tells you that do they

I take it for arthritis. I have it all the time and don't really get flare ups. The doctors don't really tell you anything, good job I don't drink coffee. All I get from taking meths is mouth ulcers and tirednes. But I was just thinking that an injection would get in my system faster and I wouldn't be as tired with the FM and the Meth, and possibly get a weekend.
TBH you'll probably get more responses on a RA or Lupus forum as MTX isn't a Fibro med at all.
Hi I am on Methotrexate, for my skin cond. Have never been given inj tho xx
I was on methotrexate for 12 years, in tablet form. I hope that you are having regular LFT's tests done by either Nurse, GP or hospital. You are meant to have them done monthly at first , then tri-monthly after that.
I came off it as they thought I had a cancerous lump in my right kidney and you can bleed more if you use Methotrexate.
LindseyMid I have FM but my doctors don't know anything about it so I've not been given tablets for it. Sue15197 I took it for 2 years then my specialist took me of it cos she said I had FM not RA but when my hands and feet doubled in size and got misshaped she put me back on them and said I did have both. I have monthly blood test but my kidney is always bad. It is working but I don't know if it's the meths or FM that's knocking me out.
