What is involved when you are moved from I/B to ESA ?

Does it help us the claimant ? ( will the we the claimant recieve the support element if and when we do get moved)

If they have moved you into contribution based you have to go for interviews at the job centre to get you back into work. You would get benefits for a year.

If you have been put on Support ESA it is indefinite and there are no interviews at the job centre. Which one are you on ? ?

I am in the process of undergoing the new ESA50 and have been on I/B benefit and DLA since 2000 - and from 2005/6 was awarded both indefinately I filled out the new form and sent it back to them on the 17th April however a gent from some dept or other telephoned my Niece at 7.30pm yesterday evening as we had given her number as point of contact and also my mobile number, he asked to speak to me and was told I was at my home he asked for my landline telephone number but my niece declined to give it to him as she did not have clearance from myself also at that time of evening she thought this was strange!!! She phoned me to tell me and I phoned the number it was in Andover so Atos must be sub contracting people to make these evening calls as I had checked their 01264 number on Ask Jeeves and found the number to be a vitual call centre???? I think Atos has a lot of answering to give us!!!! The government obviously is doing everything in it's power to reduce their imaginary mounting debt crisis and Laughing all the way to the bank. So sorry for the rant but I am so angry that the small people of our country are being sacrificed to the wolves in parliament .Gentle Hugsxxx

i had my interview last friday so am now just waiting to hear what they got to say.. if its re-awarded, which i t should be after all you haven't been able to work for all that time, but like has been said if you get into the Working group, you get it for 1 year and during that time you have to attend several interview with the job centre and they are suppose to help support you back into work!! a joke really, if theres no enough jobs for the unemployed as it is, how are they going to find jobs for people who technically are not fit to work but they say we are.
