I believe you can work for less than 16 hours a week and earn not more than £20 without it effecting your IB. However, my advice is to ring the Benefits helpline on 0800 882 200 and check with them. Don't forget to take the name of the person you speak to, note it with the date and time of the call as well as a brief record of what you are told.

i was told by dwp that i can work 15 hrs and earn up to £95.00 per week before benefits get affected .then if you do thid for a year they review you again as they then expect you being able to work 16 hrs without difficulty so your benefits would stop then .if you earn £20.00 per week then the above conditions do not apply.i have copied this direct from dwp fact sheet permitted work which i was given.

Incapacity benefit is changing to ESA work related activity group and income related support group, if you have been put into the WRAG you may lose you entitlement after 1 year. The Job Centre seems to think Fibro will be cured and we can all go back to work. You are allowed to work up to 16 hrs or less to keep you benefit, but if changes happen in April everything will change again.
