Hi lash, that depends on how the fibro affects you. If you click on tags near the top of the page, you will see dla and click on that and ther are some questions and replies there.

hi i have applied for dla and been refused as they think i can walk upto 120 meters very slowly, bt my physio is writing me a letter saying it at least 20 meters with crutches and with someone with me, there are days i can't get out of bed and my 17 year old son has to help me and he also gets me dressed, i don't find it fair that he should do this.

Hiya again, have you appealed?

i have applied and now going through appeal, as they say i can walk upto 120 meters very slowly and my physio is writing a letter stating that she does not agree with this it at least 20 meters with crutches and with someone with me so i dont fall over, also my 17 year old son has to help me out of bed and get me dressed in the mornings, I don't find it fair that he should do this,

Did you appeal against the decision to refuse you?

in reply to

Sorry, see now you said you have. A bit late in the day for me lol. I hope you win your appeal, let us know how it goes?

i was low dla for mobility i re applied as cannot walk more than 10 metres on a good day without crutches

now on high rate and sorting a car and blue badge

which will be a relief

basically appeal your decision

you need drs and hospital n pain clinic back up

dont use good days as mobility referance

handy thing i use for shopping is one a those wheel trolleys for shopping as i live alone

i can do some shopping and frequently need to taxi back as buses and speed bumps equal huge pain

once i get car i can avoid speed bumps or go at my pace over them

im stuck at staying off feet as much as possible

my pain is feet calves knees hips lower back hands i get frequent kidney pain

get tickle sensation in face
