Yes, I get that daily, and I just cannot think properly for a few moments, can be quite frustrating.

All the time not very good when at work and I forget the names of the things I use every day and call my staff by weird names. I know what I am trying to say but just doesn't come out right. Fibro fog is a great name xx

Oh yeah. feels like l have a mix of dementia and dyslexia(hope l've spelt those correctly)Making lists help but only when l remember where l've put them!!

OMG like every day, either small or when stressed or suffering headaches extreme. where did i put that. name recall and dates worse ever.

bath overrun, cooking burnt offerings, takes me hours to make a sunday roast , when it use to take me a couple. only up side hubby now cooks all roast dinners

ps i used to be great at symmetrizing but am absolutely useless now. i find when i do write it tends to take twenty words when three or four would have done!!! and no matter now much i double check i can help sending spelling grammer errors. now this really frustrates me cause spell checker aint always right!!.

All the time...infuriating....i get so cross with myself....if i think of something i have to immediately write it down or it's gone forever...i can ask the same question over and over again and still forget the answer....i hate what this fibro is doing to us...

That´s it write notes to myself like " stove is one" sometimes I feel like a robot everything programmed a place for my keys another one for my watch, in my work i get cross with myself as well, I work in a kitchen and i do sandwiches so we have a kind of production list were is write the number of each sw they need, So I go to the list and i see they need 20 BLT sw ok then i walk maybe 4 steps took my knife and ask my self how many sw they need? go see the list again maybe 2/3 times, it´s really frustrating, my son use to tell me that i have a gold fish memory. I know how difficult it is but try don´t be angry because you get stressed, and that means more tension and more pain.

I keep an A4 book with things I have to do, telephone conversations. I even started an online Diary so I write things down that have happened, so I can look back and ensure I am not going bonkers lol

Short term memory loss and poor concentration are things I have to battle with daily. I have various coping strategies - sticking notes around the place - even on my front door to remind me to take what I need when I go out. I use my phone alarm, lists on my PC and a box with 7 compartments to organise one day's worth of pills. Still making mistakes though.

im 31 and ive had to put alarms on my phone for dates and times to ring my kids, which is really bad cuz otherwise id forget :(

Hi, I can relate greatly to this as without my mobile phone and calendar on my laptop, both with reminders set regularly, I would forget most things these days! Im lucky enough to have an Agency carer who always reminds me when meds are due, or those would sit un-taken (is that a word?? oops..my brain has decided it sounds right, but with my problem finding right words these days I have started up a new Fibro-lingo 8-)

Goodnight folks

Absolutely, and it does get you down. I feel that I seem to have a tiny brain trying to wade through seas of thick treacle where the cogs go slow and I also find I have great difficulties these days finding the right words to explain anything to friends or family so get very frustrated with myself in not being able to express myself clearly to a point where what Im trying to say actually sounds sensible! My memory is absolutely shocking and I used to be so 'on the ball' and able to juggle a number of things but I grind to a slow stop-feel like a rusty old train with no steam left to blow 8-/

Hopefully one of these days they will find what causes this illness and its add-ons. All the best.
