Hmmm got to be honest, I'm not impressed but then I've woken for another rough night of sleep, in pain and feeling very much alone. Growing and adapting is not on my to do list today 🙄. All awareness for fibro is good though so thumbs up to that 👍. Thanks for sharing and thanks for this site which is a real life line 😊

I am not impressed either fibro has taken everything from me. My relationship, career, home and even the city I lived in for 56 years. I am no longer able to drive and have to rely on others. As you said Loobielu some awareness is better than none, but I wish this video had stated how cruel fibro is, as well as the adapting stuff 🤷

Its a fair comment but how could we get that across in 30 seconds? This is tied with International Awareness Day and the first of a series of videos. There will be more and they will be reflective of the symptoms we experience. One will concertante on the many aspects of pain for example.

I am sure if we had led with that one we would have had the opposite criticism :) about being too negative. There are so many different types of people affected by fibro. Trying to hit a message that resonates with someone that has been bedbound pretty much for the last couple of years and also include someone that is able to do a 40 hour week is a challenge at the best of times. Doing it in 30 seconds is nigh on impossible :)

Check out the history video for a bit of a longer take but again that is on how long this condition has affected people. At almost 6 minutes we could cover more.

I liked it. We all grow and adapt to the new person we become. Acceptance takes time but it takes away the despondency at least it did for me. I feel it’s a challenge I can work with, I just have to think outside the box and find other ways of doing what I want to do.
