Hi still awaiting my PIP review which ends June 2024 they have had all the paperwork since last July 2023. Had a letter to say payments will go up on 8th April.On the bottom of the letter it had 0107hoping this uz the new start date but not had anything back. My blue badge is due the same time and is my bus pass. Can I ring for update or just wait. Doing my head in waiting all the time . Thanks in advance ☺️ 0

Hi there, yes definitely ring for an update. You have every right to do so. If it was me I think I would have already been asking what was going on.

reviews are taking longer and longer as DWP prioritise new claims. A relative of mine has just had an assessment and his paperwork was returned over a year ago. They will continue to pay you until your assessment and a decision has been made. They will, if you haven't heard with a date for assessment, send you a letter extending your award. My relative had a letter saying the award was extended for another year but within 2 months of that letter received a date for a telephone assessment. Hope this helps.

hi I’m in the same boat as you it’s the waiting game unfortunately I got a text off them on Saturday my birthday lol stating that they had my paperwork and would be dealing with my claim soon. I sent my paperwork it’s been 16 months since they have received it. I did ring them few months ago and lady said don’t worry we haven’t forgotten you we have a backlog and you will continue to be paid until we do your claim.

Hi I put my review form in April 2023 I received a text every 3 months saying We still have your PIP form and will be progressing your review as soon as we can. You may still need an assessment with a health professional. Your PIP will continue to be paid until we review your claim. You only need to contact us if your circumstances change. My pip was due to run out in December 2023 so they extended it for one year whilst still in review meaning I could get a decision anytime in that year. On the 29th February 2024 I got a text saying Your PIP review is complete. You should receive your decision letter in 2 weeks. Once you receive your letter, contact us if you have any questions. Do not call before you get the letter as we will not be able to tell you the decision. Please remember to contact us if your circumstances change. Witin one week I got my letter and that said my PIP would continue for another 3 years same points on everything. I hope this answers some of your questions there seems to be back log. In the mean time you are still entitled to your blue badge and bus pass and should your end date expire for PIP they will extend it so you don't lose out.

Same as you Debbie but I got a letter telling me my award would continue for another year until they had reviewed it. That meant I could renew my blue badge for another 12 months. I would say hang tight

Mine ran out last Oct, they had all the paperwork in August. I kept getting messages to say they still had paperwork, then about a month ago had a letter to say they had extended my PIP to May 2025. I just don't think they have the staff to cope at the moment, also heard there is going to be a big shake up in how they do reviews soon, so no idea what is going on really. I hope you get yours sorted.
