How to tell the difference

Happy New Year everyone!

I have had fibro for just under 3 years now and I particularly suffer with pain in my hands arms and legs. Today out of nowhere I have the most horrendous pain running up my thump wrist and forearm. It not the same as my normal pain and so it got me thinking

How do I tell the difference between my fibro pain and there is actually a problem?

Can anyone help, tried to google the question but no luck.

It can be difficult. Fibro pain is due to disordered pain processing, so tends to move about rather than stay in one single place. Also, there will be no injury etc to cause the pain

I usually give new pains a few days to see if they settle, continue or get worse. If the pain stays in same place for now than a few days, then I will get it checked out

I've had that. It's so painful. Can't even bare to touch the skin. Take some heavy duty anti inflammatory pain relief and rest. It will go in a day or so. I find it happens after peeling a lot of veg or a repetitive action. It's almost like a bad flare up. Hope you feel better soon.
