I had an appointment this afternoon for the orthopaedic department I have waited over 2 years I couldn’t say the last time I had a nights sleep I have constant pain in my arms hands and finger the pain is unbearable. I got a phone call this morning cancelling it with no explanation or any indication when I will be seen. To say I’m angry is an understatement 😡

Hi AusieSorry to hear,

We can do without additional disappointments.

System seems broken and overstretched.

Just sending a hug.

Gigi.

Hi there Ausie, Unfortunately that's the way things are at the moment with the NHS. Junior Doctors striking again this week so everybody has to be rescheduled or put on hold I'm afraid. If you get the choice of where to be seen I suggest using a private hospital if you can.

Sending big HUGS

Hi Ausie,It's really terrible having to wait so long for an appointment. Do speak to your GP or the dept/people who refer you, they may be able to do something.

The system is really not working and making people more ill. My GP referred me for physio and it took one month to get appt then suddenly it was cancelled for no reason. I had to be referred again by the Pain management clinic, and waited another month. The physio gave me some exercises to do but instead of give me a couple of sheets showing the exercises, I had to wait for a link to get online to access the videos and I couldn't do so without accepting the terms and conditions and privacy so and so, total nearly 20 pages long, imagine, can anyone going through them? It's ridiculous and life is making much more difficult now than easier. Does not help patients at all, just causing more aggro.
