hi everyone. I have applied for new style esa and pip. I believe there is an assessment for esa and one for pip? Is this correct? Are the assessments the same? Will I need to do two assessments ? Does anyone know about this please Thankyou

Ah ok was not to sure if I would just need the one assessment or both. Thanks for reply
Hi! Definitely agree here. Used to work in a Jobcentre and they're definitely two different assessments. The new style ESA assessment is looking at your health and how it affects yoir ability to work, where as PIP is looking for how health conditions affect your life. New style ESA has conditions that you will have needed to have paid your National Insurance contributions, over a certain time period in the past (it used to be something like the past 2/3 full tax years but don't quote me on this). If you hadn't paid enough, or hadn't worked, then you'd claim Universal Credit. It has been a while since I was working there, so please excuse any inaccuracies. Good luck with your assessments and sending you positive vibes x
