You should see your GP swollen feet could be caused by lots of things. I get swollen feet and ankles in the hot weather, just recently my left foot remains slightly swollen so I have seen my GP, he ordered bloods and a scan of the pelvic area just to make sure I don't have a problem there that could be causing pressure on my leg and foot. I'm waiting now on the results and what course to take next.

Hi not swollen feet but I’ve developed chronic hives on my chest neck back arms stomach and top of legs. The are starting to come on my face and both my wrists and thumbs feel like I have sprained them - this is starting in my left ankle now. I’ve tried cutting out various foods and have had two courses of steroids am taking antihistamines every day and nothing helps. The only other thing I have daily is my medication so am off to see the pharmacist this morning to see if I can reduce the Pregabalin to see if it’s that. Have already eliminated the naproxen and lanzoprazole and have been taking the propranolol and fluoxetine for a long time so the only one left is Pregabalin. I’ll let you know what happens. Hope you get your feet sorted.

Have you seen anyone about the chronic hives? Could your diagnosis of fibromyalgia be wrong, or at least not the whole picture? I developed repeated outbursts of hives as well as being very unwell generally during nearly two decades of a fibromyalgia diagnosis. Then a rheumatologist ran a blood test for anti -C1q antibodies and it came back positive. Anti-histamines often don't help in this scenario.

Also had low complement levels on blood test for C3 and C4. I was then diagnosed with urticarial vasculitis syndrome. There's treatment for this.

Because there is no specific test for fibromyalgia, it's always worth periodically revisiting the diagnosis, especially in the light of new symptoms. Good luck

haven’t been officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia am still in the early stages. My blood tests showed a high level of inflammation and gp wanted to try and treat the hives and then redo the blood tests to see if inflammation level has dropped. Hives still here and blood test due on 15th. Meanwhile I’ve reduced my Pregabalin and hope to be completely off it in another week. Pain levels haven’t changed so I was right in thinking it was really helping but my dry eyes nose and mouth have improved- am less dizzy too which is good.
