Fibromyalgia.

I ve been dealing with it half my life now.. I just wanted to update you with a noticeable difference in my condition.

I gave up all tablets 6 years ago. As they messed up my brain with double fog.

Lately. My body’s got worse. Lost a lot of muscle and have new hurts all over. I ve developed the night terrors and sweats . Killing slowly . I get through 6 bath towels a night , sandwiched between them.

I stopped exercising as I felt I was doing damage to my back and other joints. But I was wrong.

It doesn’t matter what you do or how much you hurt. Try and do exercise. , not just normal daily work. Try and get fresh air and walk, run, even if it’s just up stairs.

Replacing your blood with fresh oxygenated , will ease your suffering.

Sitting and not moving Will aggravate your condition more than the exercise.

I m back on the Pregablin 150. A day. (3x 50). Makes me a bit fuzzy. But I can move if I want to while on it.

I keep waiting for a (good day ) but so far these last two years I ve not had a day off the pain.

Hopefully a few months of powering through, might help .

Good luck everyone.

Keep up the Fibro Fight X

Darren

Increasing activity levels has good research and more so with aerobic exercise. Whether it be the benefits on pain from endorphins or the positive effect of having done something during the day or the general health benefits from increased activity then it is worthwhile. The benefits go beyond fibro but better general health will benefit fibro.

Yes I felt more in control of my symptoms by doing more exercise. It might be just gentle stretching during a flare but I try to have a daily walk as the fresh air and change in scenery helps me not only physically but mentally. I also try to eat healthily and keep my weight at a good level.x

Sometimes you have to say 'D**n the pain' and force yourself.

I can't get anywhere fast these days, but I get out, rain or shine, even if it's just a stagger round the outside of the bungalow, with sticks, or rollator, several times a day.

At 74, I can get to Tesco and about a mile to the Bank, very slowly and painfully, but I'm an obstinate old baggage, and won't give in!

Cheers, Midori
