pip and inheritance

Hi everyone, I hope your having a good day if at all possible, I generally don’t post questions I like to read others and input if I can, but my question is we rely on my pip and husbands pension to live, does anyone know if receiving an inheritance does it affect my pip at all many thanks x

Hi as Ajay575 says it won't effect pip but you say your husband gets a pension, if he gets pension credit it may effect that and if it's a big inheritance you may be taxed as it's counted as income. You are doing the right thing checking to see if it will effect any earnings now as you don't want a letter further down the line demanding money you may have spent lol

Thank you for your comment very helpful, my husband doesn’t get pension credit he can only get it once I reach pension age apparently currently I’m 58 so be a while yet lol
