hi all I have my pip assessment tomorrow but I didn't take a copy of my application form
will they go off this?
Does anyone have any advise
the assessment was supposed to be face to face but due to the common wealth games i said was going to be difficult to get into birmingham so they have changed it to a phone call

Hi Tigger67 - with your PIP assessment, they do usually go off the replies you gave with your initial claim form. You can refresh yourself about the activities that are looked at with PIP again here: cambridgeshire.gov.uk/asset...
Ensure your phone is charged up, & as the time for an assessment can vary, have a drink nearby. You can have someone with you for support, but mainly they will want to hear from yourself about the difficulties you face with any of the applicable activities/descriptors.
Avoid 'yes' or 'no' answers, rather try to explain in detail your difficulties such as giving where possible a couple of recent examples. i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity such as increased pain or fatigue?
Say if you can't do an activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes you much longer than someone without a disability. See this mentioned at the end of the link above.
They sometimes ask questions such as do you drive, do you have a pet? These cover more than one activity, tho the questions might seem somewhat odd.
Take your time in answering, & if unsure ask them to repeat a question or explain it in another way. The very best of luck, & kindly let us know how you get on.
