Hi there,, to answer your question I am happy to say yes, that I get it.

I applied 4 years ago, and got awarded on first application. I have Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis of neck, shoulders, and hands, and other Medical Conditions.

Please consider, that it is not awarded on your diagnosed conditions, but on how they affect your daily living.

If you click on this link AgeUk/org there is information on how to apply, and fill in the form, on their Website.

Or you can go to the top of this page, on the right, there is a search bar, just type in Attendance Allowance and it will come up with previous inquiries on the subject.

Hope this helps.

GP. 😊😊

Hi Greenpeace,Thank you for your advic e I did send for an

application form, but wondered if it was worth sending as previously about 15 years ago, had applied for dla but wasn't successful.

Can't even make sense of very much at the

Moment so confused rough at the moment,

but it looks like I may have got something from the posts as not going into deep detail the wrong thing to do. Once again thank you and hope things are not too bad for you today.

Generally Attendance Allowance is a bit easier to get than. DLA.

These are some of the key factors:-

Describe any accidents or falls you’ve had.Explain the effects of all your disabilities and health conditions, and how they interact with each other.

List things that you struggle to do unaided, even if you’ve developed ways to cope.

If an activity takes you much longer than it would somebody without a disability, or if it’s difficult to do safely, include this too.

Say if you need reminding or encouragement to do things.

Focus on how frequently you need help. For example, if you need help looking after your appearance, if you include help to check your clothes are clean after a meal, help to find a coat and matching shoes, and so on.

Give plenty of information in your own words about your personal circumstances. Don’t worry if you need to repeat yourself.

Don’t leave things out, even if you feel you can manage well enough.

Bear in mind that Attendance Allowance doesn’t usually take into account problems with housework, cooking, shopping and gardening.

Good luck.x
