I have had fibromyalgia for 12years. I’ve tried all of the pain relief. Nothing really works!. They cannot see if t, So it’s not real. What an understatement!. I wish people would take this seriously. So much pain!, so much doubt. But they do not know our pain!. I don’t think they ever will. This is invisible to everyone else. But my god!. I’m so tired of the pain, and every thing else I hat comes, with this deadly, silent affliction

I'm so sorry for the pain you are experiencing with no relief in sight. It is awfully discouraging, but you are not alone. I'm in America and in March the last and only effective med in my arsenal was taken from me. I've been on this low-dose opioid since 2012, no problems with it, no abuse or misuse, no sharing, nothing but a couple of hours relief daily to to get chores done. (I'm a retired nurse and I work 3 days a week still, non-nursing). I feel forsaken and discouraged. In my opinion only, our current medical establishment is not really addressing needs of the individual. Forgive my rattling on. FM is cruel. My best to you, Dear One💐

Hi Dianne. It is a horrible affliction and it's horrible to feel so alone. Also heightened maybe by a weekend of public Jubilee eventing where probably most of us have not even been able to take part even if we had wanted to or not. I will say though, that having had 12 years of fibro (me too diagnosed about that time), you will have qualified as a gutsy problem solver of great ingenuity and excellence to have got through it so far. However, giving yourself a pat on the back may hurt, so don't do that! Point being, I bet you have tried just about everything. The best for me has been traditional Chinese acupuncture (including five elements) and mainstream chiropractic by experienced chiropractors. If you haven't actually tried that already, give it a whirl? - Weightloss finally achieved by acquiring GERD) has enabled me, with a bit of intermittent fasting to start walking up 7000 steps a day (on Fitbit) which is evidently all people need to keep heart healthy. Some of that is pottering around house and garden after the cardiologist - whose leg was in a plaster-cast at the time - suggested it. Some days I still don't do much and that can include not even being able to do own bizarre brand of meditation. I now know another much younger lady in our village who has fibro. She amazingly has a job that helps others and she and her partner have also rescued a dog. I think she is just wonderful and tell her so, so she has heard it from someone. - I have met a few others further afield but would quite like to find some more people with similar in our area. But if I did, the energy to take part in a physical encounter with others on a regular basis would still feel a bit too challenging. I am glad of this website. May you find some of the support you need in it. Best wishes. I am going to make a post about vests! J

I empathise with you 100%. I have done the school run and shopping today, I sat down when I was home and felt zero percent rested. The parents at school stare at me because I drift in and out of gaze and conversation. Can’t help it. The toddler is in the pram screaming to be picked up. They stare at me, such a bad mum they are thinking. Little do th eye know. My hips back thighs fingers hands and wrists are in pain. I cannot carry my toddler for more than a few seconds. 😳😞
