A book I've read may be of interest to some of you

The book is called Finding Joy with an Invisible Chronic Illness: Proven Strategies for Discovering Happiness, Meaning, and Fulfillment. It's by Christopher Martin. I have left a review on Amazon, but I'll paste it in here so you can see if you'd find it helpful and why I wanted to recommend it. I hope it helps some of you, too:

"The thing that sets it apart from others is that it’s actually written by a fellow sufferer and he can also give valuable insight as a psychologist. This topic could easily be heavy-going, but it is mainly an upbeat, positive read. Saying that, the author has taken care to balance positivity with reality, and points out that although it’s not always possible to look on the bright side, there are still things we can do to ensure that we don’t spiral into depression. This is a comprehensive book packed with practical advice, personal and professional experiences and knowledge. Examples of the information covered: self-help, dietary supplements, many therapy options and advice for the care-giver/s. The chapter on grief struck a cord with me, and I now see that this is what I’ve been going through. Somehow, having a professional tell you it’s normal and justifiable, helps. I highly recommend this book to sufferers and, perhaps even more so, to those that are well, so you can better understand why we can’t always live up to society’s expectations. After all, I was fine until I wasn’t and, sadly, it can happen to any of us at any point in our lives."
