Hi Nicjy, I was in the same situation as you 10 years ago. Firstly, you should be classed as having a disability if you have had your condition for 12 months so your employer has to make 'reasonable adjustments' to your role to accommodate your condition. I would ask if you can see Occupational Health. They are there yo help you and should report back to your employer to tell them what you need.

I also was directed by the DWP to an advisor who I met up with now and again. She was very good and she attended meetings with my manager and HR when I went well enough to attend. The one time the DWP were helpful.

I wouldn't advise handing in your notice. Your employer will have to go through procedures before they can terminate your employment.

I had ME/CFS so I know how exhausting all this can be. Get all the support and information you can regarding your rights. Obviously you are too I'll to work.

Also get your gp on side. Mine wrote a letter to my employer explaining that I was too I'll to attend meetings. Good luck with it all and make sure you take care of yourself.
