Help Needed to question

Hi I've had this most of my life and nothing has helped, I'm at my witts end just to live a normal life, I'm on all meds all of my life nothing has helped, just house bound in pain every were on activities its worse I swell very bad in my ankles knees hands, my back iv had mri scans nothing come up, iv recently got diagnosed with osteoarthritis in both hips, what's I don't understand my nan had multiple sclerosis and it's all the same thing but they call it something else now I'm confused 😕

Medications do not help everyone with fibromyalgia and it can often be trial and error to find something that does help

Have you ever been referred to a pain clinic. They don't just offer medications, but also do pain management programmes where you can learn ways to manage your pain

Pacing, keeping active (to avoid stiffness and muscle wastage), heat or cold, mindfulness, meditation, holistic therapies, weighted blankets, distraction etc are all things that can help

I'm under the pain clinic he's offered me different med that block the nerves as my back is a killer, but it's swimming I find better but it's so costly I did have care worker's but to much trouble and money to

Hi Susan I’m suffering the same as you prob 20 years I had scans blood tests as we thought ms nothing shown up and 2 weeks ago had nerve tests and that all ok now they say it’s fibro but no tablets help , Iv had loads , only one that takes a bit of relief is tramdol but I don’t take it often as it’s strong
