Sometime they help, they recommended a combination of medication and exercise such as walking.

It is a chronic condition, it will not go away.

Pregablin, gabapentin some say it works for them, but not in my situation, dihydrocodeine seems to touch me omly for 4 hours only since my diagnoses in 2011, all the best..

Hello how are Yes pregabalin works for some people but you may need other medication from your doctor Like co- coda-mol and May some thing to help you sleep Fibromygia Is a crippling horrible pain so you got to be strong I’m here now if you want now any thing Iv had fibro for 25 years

Tadiwa89 has it good. We're all different in this. I dont think I know another condition where there's not a simple pathway. What works for one doesnt necessarily work for another. It may be a matter of "experimenting" to find a combination of medication/activity that helps. Atmospheric conditions have an influence. I find rest and heat work well - but that achieves very little of the daily grind. I have a heated throw, having tried neck and shoulder pads

Hi yes that’s how it is how you explain it .. it’s really hard to come to terms what it is but yeah it is what it is .. The pain what it does is unreal but very real in my wrists neck legs arms shocks in my legs is terrible my meds work a bit but not fully but dr is upping my dose . But don’t want be to out of it cuz Iv a toddler who takes up my time a lot .. so glad I found this sight as never new nothin about this just got given a diagnosis a book about it an put on amitriplenr they made me bad I felt ded itchy with them .. duloxatine seem to be working a bit .. I’ll try heat packs as well .. can’t take some meds I have alergies so have to be careful with what I take to .. hope your ok an thanks all the best

not too bad at the moment thanks. I've tried TENS machine - no medication, but I'm not sure it helps me. Some find it helpful, but it's another of those things you dont know until you try. And with a toddler, you will find it hard to get a 30 minute space

Yeah it is a bit difficult but I think I’ll invest in one of those tens machines to see how I get on .. I’ll let you no .. your doing really well no meds .. i tried but couldn’t bare the pain any longer and tried pain relief most my life but doesn’t last long where these duloxatine seem to be working a lot I still get pain but not as servere.. I do feel it in winter months beginning winter I was in a bad mess for a week riddled with pain couldn’t function .. but put me on this new med an it’s helping .. thanks for the reply

well I am on some med but all the doc will give me is codeine and paracetamol. I supplement this with TENS, voltarol gel and heat. Some relief but not complete. And I'm glad I dont have kids! I wish you well. With medication one must be careful not to self experiment as some combinations are harmful

I'd forgotten tiger balm. There is a badger balm but I'm not sure its the same thing :P

I'm lucky: I can go to sleep when I need to as long as I get my work finished

Hi I’m sorry about your diagnosis I’ve had this for many many years been on almost every drug None has worked for me but have worked for others so just a matter of trial and error I’m on gabapentin at the moment but been on for quite a while and they aren’t working But they do help me sleep so that’s why I stuck with them ,out on a bit of weight over last couple of year and my pains got worse so just losing the extra fat cells for me if I’m hurting really bad a hot bath gives a bit of relief even if it’s just while I’m in there I have to stop typing now because I can talk for the universe lol good luck with your medication if your body’s aching and your minds in a muddle put on a big smile and think to yourself it could be worse I could be male lol ( don’t mean it honest ) or do I 😏

in reply to bunnygirly

Yea agree with all of that too 😊

Hi, I’m now on Pregablin 100mgs twice a day, and Amitriptyline for sleep, your pain will be different every day, you never stop the pain, but everyone is right we are all different, so different meds work in different situations. Good luck, keep asking for help

I found most medication Gove me side effects I can't cope with. Two months to get to 10 mg Nortriptyline, the starter dose. I'm just starting a pain clinic, hoping it will help. Managing the secondary suffering of anxiety etc is a real key for me.

Hi and welcome to the forum I was prescribed zydol(tramadol slow release ) and arjun cream and they help

Omeprazole, Duloxatine 60mg, slow release tramadol, paracetamol, pregabilin, vitamin d.... these are what I've been given from doctor/pain management. I've included magnesium & CBD oil and gummies. Sunday Scaries online is where I found mine. Unfortunately the NHS do not prescribed CBD (Cannabis oil no THC) to us Fibro suffers. After some research I do believe the THC part can be even more beneficial for pain relief, insomnia, loss of appetite and positive feelings. But not legal in the UK.

Hello Anna I would say that pregabalin is what most people take and co-Codamol Then but these are addictive Lora nzapan but I’m not ado yet just telling what I take good luck
