I have just been diagnosed with Costochondritis. It's very painful and quite debilitating. I have Fibro so this is just another addition to my pain! Any advice on this would be appreciated. Thanks.

Anti inflammatory medications or gels can help reduce the inflammation. I personally find that heat helps to take the edge off pain, others find cold works better

I found a hot water bottle helps , also avoiding jobs that use your arms a lot like cleaning windows and hoovering for a while till the pain eases . Not easy I know.

I saw my osteopath with this and she was so helpful. She also reminded me that yoga (belly) breathing and any calming practices would be helpful. Plus the hwb or wheatbag for warmth.

I went to a chiropractor who gave me hot stone massage with slight adjustments with the sessions and showed me stretches to do too. If I feel it come on now I do the stretches which help alot

Have you heard of the Backpod? It's an excellent product for this condition - I have one, and I can't tell you how much it has helped. You can get them on Amazon, not cheap, but worth the money because you'd spend a lot on other things anyway, which don't deal with the real problem - the Backpod does.

Hi ZoBo, I have the same conditions, I have bowen technique to help with releasing my muscle spasms and pain, I have a bi-fib rib which subluxation now and then....I hope you find relief as I know how painful it is....stay safe
