Bowen Therapy

I had 3 lots of Bowen Therapy which has really helped with my fibromyalgia. It was private therapy.

I had Bowen treatment done . Its a very relaxing technique which I found helpful but unfortunately due to the cost had to stop.

Great example of how fickle fibro is. I've found some things work but others don't so I'd say try anything and if it works for you, fantastic, if it doesn't then on to the next thing!

Yeah trouble is they will always say you need at least 6 sessions or stuff like that to really know if its going to work for you and I just had no faith in the process so I didn't get that far.

would also add that you can also get rebound pain from hands on therapies so you may have more pain initially. Not a lot of evidence for any of them either. And also some charlatans that just want an income.

Trying one after another can drain the wallet significantly but a lot of these therapists over claim on the results. I also wonder if a "good bedside" manner and attention is actually what you are paying for.

Yup completely agree. I only sort the therapy out of desperation and when I had it I couldn't believe it would ever help. Trouble is I'm a very sceptical person anyway and I have been told I'm not suggestable enough to have effective hypnotherapy for example so sometimes you have to give things a chance. I suppose even if something only works on a psychosomatic level it may still be worth paying for if you get relief!
