Hold on in there, that is what I say to myself when I am having having particularly time of it. When you are in the middle of a flare it is so difficult to see when the end of it is going to come. Try to be easy on yourself and rest as much as you can and don't fight it. Thinking of you and I hope you start feeling better soon and the pain eases.

Hi Poll I am 67 years young and have had fibromyalgia for a very long time. I hope you find what works for you as we muddle through and you have an understanding GP. Gentle hugs MistyA 🫂

I love that people on here are kind and say be easy on yourself x. I find the hardest part of dealing with this condition is slowing down! I remember so well when I couldn’t crack on with a job and work hard all day. Sadly that is no longer the case. Now I have to train myself to slow down and do things in small bite sized pieces. Frequent rests help me through the day and I have to accept that I cannot ‘push through’ a flare up but must rest through it. Being patient (not my strongest trait!!!) and listening to my body works best. Love and hugs xx

Hello, I'm 58 and have had fibro for 15 years - no meds now; just paracetamol when it's bad and a fairly strict diet (no gluten, dairy, coffee, tea, alcohol, soda drinks, limited sugar, etc). Just have to learn to take one day at a time and not to beat oneself up when certain days are really cr@ppy (unfortunately at the moment I'm having a flare yet again). It's tough seeing others seemingly get on with life without pain 24/7:( Hopefully you've got family/friends to rely on when you're not so good - my hubby/son are fortunately there for me. Take care:)

Hello. I'm sorry that you aren't feeling great at the moment. I am also going through a difficult time so can totally relate to how you feel. I hope you have some family and/or good friends around you that you can lean on and this group is also so good and often makes me feel better. Sending you lots of gentle hugs and hope you feel much better soon. xx
