Hi I used to feel really exhausted, even more than normal a few days before my period and feeling more achy. What seems to be working is the menopause No Periods Hurrah!!!

My GP suggested I take the contraceptive pill for 12 weeks at a time and then a week break so I only had to deal with this 4 times a year instead of 13. That did help and I too now have no periods due to menopause - hurrah!!

Hi. I do 2 weeks before and throughout menstrual cycle. Very pain, fatigue and exhaustion daily. I take painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen 4 times a day to relieve the pain.

I had very painful periods at one time, so painful I would fall to my knees in the street, and then found out that I had a very large ovarian cyst - might be worth checking out.

Hi, i do get really bad fibro pain on my period, i can't do anything at all, i also have polycystic ovaries syndrome, my periods are irregular and i bleed very heavy, i get really bad back pain and stomach pain, and my whole body feels sore and totally exhausted, i have to take vitamin D supplements and iron as they would be very low, a hot water bottle can help ease some pain by putting it on your stomach or back, pain medication the doctor gives me co-codamol and tramaxin acid to slow my bleeding and to help with the pain, i also buy stick on heat pads that you can use for your stomach and your back which helps a lot, i started buying these as it can be a struggle to get up and fill my water bottle when I'm in pain.

If you get really heavy bleeding and have irregular periods, i would talk to your doctor and ask to be sent for an ultrasound, it was an internal ultrasound that confirmed i have polycystic ovaries, you can also be asked to be sent to a gynecologist there might be something else going on, that you don't know of.

I hope this helps🙂.

I have the same thing. I use baths and hot water bottles to ease pain and a Tens Machine throughout the day, that seems to distract me from it and has a massage setting which feels good on lower belly or back. But I would take the advice above and mention it to your GP if you are concerned, as there are other conditions that could be causing this and also specific painkillers for period pain that may help. Hope you get some relief soon.
