Hi Shonesexx. Sorry to hear you are experiencing challenges with pain and studies. Have you spoken to your college about your health conditions. Speaking honestly and openly about how you feel and the impact on your learning & ability to complete task- this way your teachers or wellbeing support could help you.

I found this on a post on this forum.

following Toolkit link, nottingham.ac.uk/toolkits/p... has been published by Disability Rights UK, drawn up by Nottingham University explaining just what your rights are.

Have a read and share with your college pastoral and wellbeing team. All the best💐

Thank u I will do❤️

Morning. Talk to the College’s Disability Services / Wellbeing Teams. There should be a range of measures in place for you which will help greatly. Look on the ‘Disability Rights UK’ website. They have an info bit for students x

So sorry to hear you are struggling. I was diagnosed myself around the same time. This is a great community to participate in so you know you are not alone in this. Scroll through the posts here - there is a lot of good information to try to see if it works for you. Personally I am on a prescription combo of Lyrica & Effexor and I alternate with ibuprofen and acetaminophen daily to manage my pain. I've also found that heat helps me immensely- I use heating pads regularly. I still struggle with fatigue but managing my pain has helped. Good luck and know you are not alone.

Hello, I’m about to start my second year of uni. First year I stayed at home because of Covid so my mum took care of me and I am as well worried about going to student accommodation as my support system won’t be there . But I think the more research and making friends that are able to support and understand what we go though can help. Also to let any teachers and staff to know so they can better understand and help. I wish you well

Apply for Disabled Student Allowance if you have not already done so.
