Update on pip

Hi everyone well after the 2 pip review calls that came out of the blue no appointment and they said that due to my stammer and stress levels they would do a paper review I have been awarded enhanced on both elements. However when I have looked at the points for the descriptors some are very wrong they have scored me no points for verbal instructions and expressing verbal instructions even though my stammer is so bad they stopped the call twice they have scored me no points for help with medication when I have to be given them so that one I dint take to much and two that I dint forget to take them they are also kept in a pill box each day and the rest put out of reach if me they also scored me no points for follow and planning a journey even though I cannot go out by myself at all I cannot use public transport at all and have panic attacks also my legs collapse when I don't expect they said I no point for help or aids for eating even though I have a straw and lidded cup as cannot lift things and a weighed plate for when I eat I can't carry food table that has to be done for me and some of the other points where scored low when they should have been higher I don't know how they can sit sith evidence and then make these silly decisions on points. My question is as I have enhanced do I just leave it till my review as awarded till 2025 or do I call them and tell them I should have more points

Thank you for the tips I have told them most of what you have said have letters and reports from mental health team telling them I have life long clinical depression with suicidal tendency also they award not points on complex budgeting when I have dyscalulous So sometimes don't recognise numbers get tgem back to front have to have all my bills paid via DD and I no longer have my bank card my partner keeps its so he can keep a handle on the bills I can't so it any more but I have given them all tge evidence of this to but these where areas I had points for before and now don't even though tge evidence show this will not change will remain the same or get worse then he has said he has given me longer award than last time he hasn't last Time I had 4 years as well it is like they are making it up as they go along

I was awarded low rate after they scored me 0 points on things I should have got points for, I left it because I was scared of loosing it all together. It's just not fair especially when you've got a bunch of health problems.

Personally I wouldn’t rock the boat till your next review, you can’t get anymore than advanced on both and from experience they don’t like to be questioned on their decisions

You're lucky they stopped my mobility completely even though I'm very similar to your description.

You sound very much like the experience I had Jamie, my advice would be to leave it, you might be opening an unnecessary can of worms 🪱! Plus you have qualified for enhanced as I did. Make a note as you have, and flag it up in 2025, I've done the same thing mate.Keep well 🙏

Oh I see, well I failed dismally, was on dla indefinite period and now down to 3 yr reviews, said my meds hadn't changed for over 10 yrs ? I'm exhausted with it all tbh, thankyou for your prompt reply.

The mental anxiety we're all put through is cruel beyond belief, I'm gonna have to apeal fir my mobility, another year of hell. Thanks

Hi, well done on the award. You have the maximum award you can get so, contacting them can’t make it get any higher.I would let it go now but having being messed around myself in the past I now use an advocacy service when award time time comes around. Some say I am daft but they give free advice and help and after my high mobility was reduced last time, they took all my information re meds aids etc. They then submitted my MR for me produced by a legal team and sent me a full copy. My MR reinstated my award and, for longer than originally given. For this I paid £85. In my book not stupid as, I got to keep my Motability car they were taking off me.

It’s up to you, just thought I’d share what I have done and I will use them again at the next renewal letter. DWP tend to run away from them. I won’t name them because some sites don’t allow it but, they are based in Bury Lancs.

Leave well alone. You sound like you won the jackpot on the lottery and start complaining that you didn’t win anything on the other tickets you bought just had the odd number. Be grateful the HP had common sense or something like that. You have 4 years to enjoy your award.

I think PIP got lost coming across the Irish channel, DLA got sunk somewhere? Its like trying to find the Titanic, too much bureaucratic bilge!🥴
