I have not been on this site for quite a while because I have spent a lot of time doing research on line about fibro myalgia and other Auto immune diseases (well, fibro is on the verge of being added to the auto list, I understand) to try to help myself, since no one 'out there' was of a mind to help. In a long roundabout way, I finally came across an English scientist called Claire, who, because she has had Hasimoto's for 20 years, decided to research her own disease. This resulted in her being able to find a way of ridding herself of all the symptoms of Hashimoto's, and was followed by her writing a course, or programme, which she now teaches to anyone who is interested in taking it. I am just coming to the end of it (three months), and feel it is the best thing I have ever done. It is fascinating, interesting, practical, and done with others who also suffer from so many chronic diseases. For me the fibro pain has so diminished, and the fibro fog and vertigo have almost gone. And the people I have got to know, all over the world (it is all done on line, so no travelling needed), are wonderful people, all benefitting from this great programme. I am so pleased with the results, and with Claire's strong, kind and understanding guidance and well-educated teaching, that I thought I must come back, and give others the chance to do this course. I would recommend anyone to benefit from this experience, and enjoy the results - I would not have missed it for the world.

Hi brightnbreezy, similar here I have become pretty much an expert of myself, learnt to pinpoint and track symptoms and their triggers, to prevent & alleviate them, and at last after >80 treatments have found acupressure and amino acids (GABA etc.) for serotonin & dopamine are helping.

I've tried the trials of 3 mentoring schemes for fibro like what your Claire seems to be doing generally for chronic pain, but they were way behind what I was doing myself. Could you give some insight into how she goes about it? I'd expect her to teach/show people what I am doing already, but (how) is it beyond that?

Claire teaches the science of how the body works when healthy, and what alters when AI diseases enter the system, how the different systems are affected by even slight imbalances, due to three basic things: 1. not sleeping with the circadian rhythm of the earth, 2. eating many foods directly tilting the balance of the body's systems, and 3. working hard to change individual mind-sets which directly influence the body into good or bad health. This last, more difficult, but extremely important, introducing the notion, for the first time for many, that we are each responsible for EVERY disease or ailment we experience simply because of our mindset (paradigms) generally learned by the age of seven. We are not victims of our bodies or their state of health.

Thanks very much for expanding! Hmm - I've had to 1) go bed at about the same time, at night, for years, 2) carefully sort out my diet (elimination/ pegan/ Mediterranean/ low gluten, may try to get lectins down) 3) My mindset has long grown like this due to docs not helping me from an early age, a very active "patient". I don't even feel like 'a patient', altho I am patient, but I am never passive.

I'd agree these 3 belong to a basic fundament tho.

3 I'd want to expand to symptom pinpointing and tracking, trigger & treatment hunting, and adjusting doses incl. times of treatment.

With something like FM instead of "only"(?) AI, I'd want to add a finding a sensitive PT, because local pains can often be treated locally. Agree?
