Looking for a private Dr who specialises in pain management in the Bournemouth area, anyone know of a good one. I'm NOT on Bupa. I'm just desperate for help ?

If you look up anaesthetists at your local hospital, then see who runs a private surgery at a BUPA or Spire hospital, and check that the doctor is on their list and confirm with them that they specialise in pain. This sounds a lot more complicated than it actually is. Remember that the pain management specialists are or should always be anaesthetists (sorry to use that word so much, but now I can spell it I may as well use it) Good luck, get well and stay safe.

You can also ask your GP as that can do two things. It lets them know your serious about doing more. It can hint that your not happy with the level of support your receiving.

Also they will probably know about what resources are available.

Hi it sounds like you have hit a big low and fed fed up find some strength and put some plans into action go back to your gp go every day week until some one listen to you no look there go to practice manager they hate negativity and no look there go above them now r u helping your self this is very hard to do and it take time you might have to learn to live with your pain and take meds but you can do it good luck for the future and listen to your self and don't push it

The Dorset Pain Management Service is available on the NHS. Ask your GP for a referral. It doesn’t take the pain away but helps you to manage it better.
