Has anyone been given the lidocaine infusion (lignocaine) from pain management clinic for fybro related widespread pain and if so has it worked?
Fybro/lidocaine: Has anyone been given... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Fybro/lidocaine
yes they have and yes it has worked for some but not all. Also, it is becoming more difficult to obtain in certain CCGs / Trusts.
Hi, Not the infusion but 5% patch. It works only for acute pain, for example, apply patch in back, shoulder or around neck.
It usually works for up to 12 hours.
Hi Yes I've had it no sorry it didn't work at all for me xx
Lidocaine patches I had, didn't help though.
Hi I had the patches but didn't work for me , sorry .
I had lV 4 monthly over a year in the pain hospital in London. No freedom of pain was hoping at the end of the year. I asked to see the Dr hoping to have something else for my pain but all he suggested was a pain management course which ment l had to travel to London once a week for 7, week's at the cost of £50 a week plus my husband taking time off work to take me. It's got to be worth a try as you know everyone is different when it comes to pain!
I have suffered chronic Pelvic pain over 20 yrs and my Dr won't prescribe any other stronger medication only pregabalin 600, a day and paracetamol three times a day when it's really bad 4 me I take codeine and bed mine is made worse by any physical exercise after sex is the worse! So has made my life unbearable. The drs l have seen have not been very helpful and made it more difficult. Sorry for the rant but that what the Drs have done.
God bless Carol x
