Hi there found this by chance I’m also having the same pain I don’t know if it’s glutueal tedinopathy or piriformis syndrome I’ve had it for nearly a year and was bedridden by the pain I’m on a waiting list for physio , so ask your doctor for a referral x

Hi sorry to hear your not doing too good. I've got fibromayalgia and I take Deloxitine for that it does help it eases it .when weather changes my pain is up and down .Also I have had lower back pain on the left side now for months .The doctor said syatica but It didn't go down my leg .it was when I'd been work and up and down on the stairs .or in the shower .I woke up a few week ago and couldn't get out of bed with the pain I couldn't walk .so I went to doctors they said it was just muscular take cocodomol and ibrofen. Next I had to isolate for my NHS app going off .so for the last week I've had no pain in the back and my fibromayalgia been good due to better Weather. So my conclusion is give up work .I wish I could .I'm back to it on Wednesday. So il see how I get on .Hope you get some answers .x

Yes, I have that pain too, sometimes it feels as though my spine wants to divorce my bum! I also have problems with both knees; One definitely needs replacing and the other seems to be coming out in sympathy!

My feet are always painful; I have compromised circulation in my right foot, and I'm pretty sure, Raynaud's too. Left shoulder is iffy right now, pain in the joint.

I use a rollator outside; it gets me around, and a wheelchair is useless here, too hilly.

Can I suggest you don't take to your bed, and keep moving, even if it's only short walks, you can build up to longer ones as you increase fitness. Exercise is important to keep your muscles from wasting and your bones strong. Start small and build on it, but get some exercise every day, walking or swimming are good, as is Tai Chi. (low impact, but good for suppleness). Yes, there is pain, but putting off moving around, will make the pain worse. I've used a wheelchair, it's not good, and it now sulks in the garage collecting spiders. I won't go back to it unless I have to.

If you have trouble getting upstairs why not try a stair lift? If you go to your local authority you may be able to get one fitted at no cost. Also your Occupational therapist can often get you aids to help you around the house, and stay independent.

I don't know how old you are, but I'm 73, and I have very developed Won't Power (I won't give in to Fibro.)

Cheers, Midori

Yes i know i should not give up but thats how unfortunely it makes me. I am afraid i have low pain threshold and i am one who can not tolerate pain. Thank you for answering me, i do have things to help me round the house but the stairs only go up and down when i need to. I also have feet issues had that for long while now, getting about is a problem, as i am stubborn to get in wheel chair if i do not need to, just a princeable thing. I spend so much time on my own its lonelyness that i hate just lately when your limited to what you can do. I have now started putting a pillow behind my back and thats helped. Always have ice and heat any way. Nice to speak to ya as hands i can not do any more today take care my love. Plus the depression does not help when you have these feelings.

I remember it well, I was depressed too with it, until I decide it was MY life and Fibro wasn't about to steal it from me! I haven't got a vast amount, and I'm going to make the most I can of it!
