So much pain

Hi everyone. Hope everyone is well as they can be. For 3 days I have had really bad pain down both arms and back I haven't had it before. I was diagnosed Feb 2020 with fibromyalgia and just wanna know if It could be fibromyalgia as that when I talked to my doctor he just said we can put it down to that. Thanks

Hi Danni. This kind of pain is pretty normal fibro stuff for me. Especially if I’ve been hunched over my computer for hours on end. There are a few things you can try at home to help:

- Soaking in a bath of Epsom salts

- TENS machine on your back

- Heat on your back and shoulder area (hot water bottles or heat pads)

If it doesn’t get better in the next week or so, bother the GP again. And maybe ask to see a physiotherapist who could give you some exercises to do.

Once you’ve had it looked at and know there’s nothing wrong apart from the fibro, you could also try a foam roller. I find this loosens things up and helps release tension and reduce pain.

Are you taking any medication for your fibromyalgia? Any change of treatment recently?

Yes it's most probably a fibro flare up the pain can be so bad that it's hard doing simple daily things.Try having an epson salt bath and use either a wheat bag or hot water bottle and try not to do to much rest as much as possible. Sending a big hug take care❤
